  1. Doom Press Release v2.0

A remake of the Doom Press Release. I have converted the maps from the Doom Press Release version to work with vanilla doom. I have also included the original unfinishable version of the Unholy Cathedral. The map from the Doom Press release.

E1M2 - Doom Press Release Nuclear Plant. E1M4 - Doom Press Release Containment Area. E1M5 - The amazing unfinishable Unholy Cathedral.

  2. NJ Shores of Hell

Olde replacement for The Shores of Hell - my first "Mega-ish" WAD. Released purely because of interest in old, cheesy 1994 WADS.

This is probably not the first version of this file, but an early revision. I no longer have the original which I think would be a month or so older. The file date may or may not be accurate. Both the original and this revised file were originally uploaded to the Compuserve action games forum in 1994.

  3. NJ Original WADs

Olde levels made many years ago. My first 2 WADs. Released purely because of interest in old, cheesy 1994 WADS.

The file date may or may not be accurate. This file was originally uploaded to the Compuserve action games forum in 1994.

There may have been an earlier version with the files uploaded individually, but this combined upload is pretty old. I think MY_1ST used to run on E2M1 but was shifted to E2M2 to accomodate the easier DOWN in the E2M1 slot.

  5. Madlab

A moderately-sized techbase heavily inspired by Ultimate Doom episode 2 (especially Deimos Lab). The difficulty is easy/medium, and is a 5-10 minute play. This is designed for single player, but functions well in cooperative too.

As this is my first release, the map is a bit underdetailed, and was originally completed in May 2005. I made a few changes to it before uploading, but these were mostly cosmetic (light values, textures) so as to keep the 'first map' feel.

Not much to say. Second WAD I've done. BADBLU34 was the first--nothing but a carnagefest. This one was a try at the special effects; if you love teleporters you'll like it. As you play, watch the map develop... Hence, the name.

  10. MANIC WAD FILE

This picture was created using 3d Studio V3. It used 27 procedural textures and took 28 weeks to render on a Pentium 100 PC with 640k. It has over 200000000 faces and 30000000000000 vertices. It was scaled down from 100000 by 2000000 pixels to 50 by 40 in 45 days by Paint Shop Pro V2 ....... Ooops sorry wrong file .... got a little bit carried away there. Anyway back to the right file ....

Dear Mrs Smith, The estimate for the work carried out on the downstairs bathroom is 24 million pounds and 2p + VAT and p&p. Sorry we couldn't do it cheaper but second hand solid gold baths from the Cleopatra era are hard to find.

Ooops - sorry again (gettin to be a bit of a habit this!?)

Where was I, oh yes. This Doom wad was created by me, only me and me alone and no one else (not even my dog Sparky helped).

By the way me is Andrew Harbour (not that I am a harbour thats my surname - talk about unfortunate named after a place with lots of big boats.)

The level itself is pretty large, to be quite honest I think it's huge! There's absolutely loads of monsters, if you like killing lots and also enjoy a bit of a puzzle element to levels then you should love this level.

Multi Player (coperative) playing is supported on this level but due to the large size it was decided deathmatch would be exceptionally boring and is therefore not implemented.

  11. Meat.WAD

It's a fast moving adventure with lots of monsters, hidden goodies, secret rooms, and a few traps. Many hours were spent creating and playtesting. It's an E3M5 substitution. Supports single and multiplayer or Deathmatch mode. Difficulty settings are implemented as Easy/Med., and Hard. Have fun, watch your back, and send your comments. I'd love to hear them.

  15. DON'T PANIC!

    Hi!

My name is Håkan "Zap" Andersson, from the icy Sweden. DONT PANIC is my first attempt at making a DOOM level. This is NOT a deathmatch or even a multiplayer level! It is a puzzle-solving thinking level with a minimum of monster bashing (minimum relative to the bloodbathy doom standard, that is.... :-)

The reason it is called DONT PANIC is because at first glance it LOOKS more difficult than it is..... open the first door and 25 monsters come crawli'n at ya.... step on the first teleporter and wham, you're in the arms of a cyberdeamon..... ICK! (There is another reason it is called DONT PANIC too, but you'll find that out as you play....)

But this is trickery - there are ways to solve these with less bloodloss than one first suspects.

It can also be played at different difficulties. "Ultra Violence" is more monsters than "Please don't hurt me" e.t.c.

    Cheers!

  18. New Doom Level: Episode 2 Level 1

Here is yet another new level for DOOM. If you're like me there can never be enough new levels. It is a brand new level that I made with DEU 5.0 which is a fantastic editor. This is the second distribution of this level. The first one had a few bugs in it that caused the x-ray vision problem with several of the linedefs. I used the BSP program to eliminate these, so now this level is clean. Since this is a new map for E2L1 it will only work with the registered version. I would have made it a larger level, but the x-ray vision problem pissed me off so I cut it short to start on another new level. To load this level type: Doom -file sr21.wad -devparm -wart 2 1

I didn't create any variation between skill levels so no matter what level you play it on you'll receive the same challenge (Nightmare being the obvious exception). I did this because I would guess that those of you who play these new levels do so because you've beaten the original ones over and over and are not beginners in the wonderful world of DOOM. I originally designed this level for single player use, but you can play it on multi or deathmatch. I hope you like it. Have fun.

p.s.: Just thought I'd let you know that there are a few secrets in this new level but I designed it so that the true challenge would be just finishing it, without cheating.

  19. Come Out Fighting The Enjay replacement for "DOOM" "Knee Deep in the Dead".

On the far side of Phobos the remains of an earlier civilisation had been found in the mountains. The artefacts left by the beings that had lived there indicated Devil worship. What better place to build a base to investigate an inter-dimensional portal.

Have Fun and toast a demon for me.

  24. Marque of the Beast

You have been assigned to investigate a distress call from the UAC experimental weapons lab in the mountians of Peru. Upon arrving, you find a bloodbath; the bodies of your comrades lie strewn everywhere, and the base is deathly quiet. The enitre lab is in total security lockdown mode, and it appears that something HUGE busted in from the ceiling. Your objective is to recover the weapons from the armory, kill any invaders that you find, and make sure that the lab does not remain in enemy hands by finding and activating the self-destruct mechanism.

  25. Journey of No Hope

"Instead of being victorious over the rampaging armies of Hell, you find yourself once again wandering the wastelands, in search of a way out."

Designed as if the first level of an entire episode, I instead scrapped the idea of continuing this in favor of starting a new hub for HeXen. This level is short, with only about 172 sectors, but has very detailed architecture. There are no gameplay tricks, really, except for a pair of stairwells that you can use to your advantage.

The secret areas function like a secret-within-a-secret-within- a-secret-within-a-secret, which I would have designed differently had the player wielded the ability to use the goodies on the next new level afterwards, which does not exist.
