Maybe a stupid question but how do you get screenshots like that without any HUD? If I do it in UDB it has the big crosshair and if I do it in game there is a HUD.

Also, here is a screenshot from a project I am working on.

I usually do it in dsda-doom, change the presentation to a hudless screen (I guess it's f5) and before taking a printscreen, I change the weapon (from slot 2 to 1, for example) so there's none displaying at the moment I press printscreen.

Probably not the best method though lol

Another method is to use Crispy Doom or Woof/Nugget, as they have a binding for "Save a clean screenshot" which takes a picture without your weapon or any HUD.

Nice picture, that shotgun is definitely safe to pick up and not a trap I'm sure

As an additional answer, on source ports such as Woof! you can set a key binding for a "clean screenshot" which will ignore all hud elements from the picture.

Bro took the "Monster Truck" thing literally. Very cute! If Pinkie was in the "Cars" franchise.

Rooms on top of rooms... A doom engine sin

3D floors are a powerful tool. Iirc even the Build engine (Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Serious Sam, etc.) cannot handle windows put under/over each other, but it could be (rather tediously) bypassed by midair floating flattened items.

Good progress!

New personal best for E4M1. I usually end up in E4M2 in a mess, not this time!

Gee, must've misremembered. But I'm positive there was (at least) a third Build engine game other than DN3D and Blood??

Shadow Warrior and NAM exist.

I now see where the corrupt memory may come from. I falsely thought Serious Sam was Redneck Rampage.

The GZDoom console command togglehud will hide the HUD, the player weapon and all other 2D elements like HudMessages until you open the console or a menu. I have it bound to a key for convenience (bind o togglehud)

Great for combining with freeze and noclip2 as a makeshift Photo Mode!
