Inspiration for the Mancubus finally tracked down on film

A question that I'm sure keeps all us Doomheads up at night is, "What was the Mancubus based on?" We've never seen any concept art that spurred its creation, so what gave us our lovable many-nippled friend?

 

As it so happens, Doom monster maestro Gregor Punchatz has stated that the Mancubus was based on a particular stop motion creature from the 1979 film The Day Time Ended. Hence, I have delved deep into the anals of movie history to uncover this motion picture classic to clip the relevant stop motion portion so that we may witness the genesis of what became our beloved Mr. Menablanablah:

 

 

However, Gregor has also stated that he's never actually seen the movie and only once saw a still from it, rendering this whole enterprise moot. What a shame.

That clip was super frustrating.  Like the proto-Manc could have easily splatted that other dudes head but instead just flailed around looking aggrieved.

I've seen the whole film. That big dude is only there to act like a distraction to the carnivore monster. Before the appearance of big dude, carnivore monster is trying to snack on the protagonists. You can see the protagonists sneak back into the house at the end of the film.
