Consists of two new levels, and also has some textures & sprites & sounds which were imported from various other games. In order to see the new monsters launch JHERETIC without the model resources. The Gargoyle has been replaced by the Reiver from Hexen. The Golem has been replaced by Knuckles the echidna from Sonic games on GBA. The Undead Warrior has been replaced by the Cleric from Hexen. The Weredragon has been replaced by the Chaos Serpent from Hexen. The Sabreclaw has been replaced by the killer swine from Hexen. The Ophidian has been replaced by the Mage from Hexen. The Disciple has been replaced by the Bishop from Hexen. And the Ethereal Crossbow weapon has been replaced by the Arc Of Death spell. If you're the type of gamer who enjoys a mix of exploration and action then you should love this add-on. If you're the type of gamer who enjoys only action without exploration then you might not like it too much. -

It was all over. You had singlehanded cleared earth of every scum-blood-dirt sucking alien bastard ever to hit the face of the univers. Or so you thought. As you had probably realised as you were fighting your way through halls, corri- dors and entire cities of hell and horror these alien reptiles had a rather advan- ced technology. And so years before we were ever going to invent time travel they had all ready done it. The few places you did not strike them they used their short time in making time travel experiments. And now they want your head on a stick for being too damn superior. Blasting three rockets into the superbrain almost took your last efforts, but still you had the strenght to drag yourself to a teleporter, adjust your wrist communica- tor to the exact coordinates of the UAC headquarters, or what was left of it, and beam home. Meanwhile those alien arschlocks were con- ducting experiments with their timemachine in order to trap you and beam you back in time to their planet. Right into a play- field of horror and death and humiliation. You would never stand a chance and they would all laugh and spit on you as you would fall to the ground dead! But their machine caught it wrong and send you outside the playfield and into the middle of their smelly bloodinfested world of hate. Here is the chance to prevent all the horror. Kill them now or earth will be for ever doomed. Continue your mission in the original military base, which the fuckers built a model of on the moon (for those who don´t understand; this .wad is exactly the same as E1M9 in DOOM, but with extreme changes in design and textures), deep in the heart of their world. It is simple, do as you did in the "moon-copy" and you will succeed. But remember you are still in their world so there might be more of them!! -

The original intent for Teams in Quake III: Team Arena was to allow the use and creation of new Teams. However, it was not until community modelers attempted to build new teams that we discovered that the hooks that we put in place for team creation did not work as intended. This point release contains the fixes and additions necessary to make new teams work. -

While testing out DOOM Legacy's 3-D water and 3-D floors I thought, "Can you have BOTH?! Nah..." but tried it anyway. The result: a room, with a real basement filled with water! You can swim around in it of course, and go to the room with the BFG which I modeled after a similar section in Quake II's 1st level. The teleporter can be entered at any height if you're swimming into it. AND, push the switch and the water drains!! =) Also the nukage pool in front of you when you start will hurt you while you swim in it. If I had just tagged the actual sector itself to hurt you, you'd only get hurt when standing on the bottom, not when swimming. -

In one of the few remaining forests of earth, the UAC has been testing a new type of interdimensional teleportel. Deemed "fail safe," these new models are equipped with spawn seeking BFGs. Of course, to test the BFGs, monster test subject were needed. So, under close supervision, the monsters were kept in individual cages at the base. One day, taking an imp back to a cage, the marine turned around to close the cage up. That split-second cost him his life and soon, most of the monsters were roaming the base. The few survivors who were able to get to a teleportal knew something had to be done or else the hellspawn would figure out how to disable the security system from inside the base and possibly bring forth another Spawn of Hell even worse then before. This cannot be allowed to happen. So, of course, you're the only man for the job. Dropped off in a courtyard where you were given the location of a tunnel into the base, you entered it and found yourself trapped in the base. The UAC cannot risk sending someone else to get you so the only way out is to clean out the base and get to the teleportal. Already you have been told of some terrifying monsters deep inside the complex, but you just shrug, you've seen worse... -

Way back in April of 1993 id Software sent to their Beta Testers the Alpha v0.4 of their upcoming game "Doom: Evil Unleashed". Most of the weapons, powerups, health and ammo never made it into the final game. Many of the early wall and floor textures were also dropped. There's even a monster in the early Alpha versions which you would hardly recognise. Alpha Guns is a Partial Conversion for Doom and Doom II which simulates part of this Doom Alpha v0.4. The early Space Marine had a very crude arsenal at his disposal - chainsaw, bayonet, rifle and machine gun. The rocket launcher, plasma gun and BFG 2704 (later to become the BFG 9000) were still in the pre-prototype stage where only a weapon icon was available. The Super Shotgun of course was still only a thought in some UAC engineer's head. ALPHA GUNS enables you to experience the DOOM amd DOOM II worlds as if advanced weapons development had ceased back in April 1993. See what the early Space Marines had to deal with as you battle the original levels with the Alpha chainsaw, bayonet, rifle and machine gun. The levels are now filled with Alpha powerups, health, armor, ammo, etc. Only the most battle-hardened Space Marines need apply because the remaining weapons (super shotgun, rocket launcher, plasma gun and BFG 2704) have all been replaced with prototype versions which may not work quite as well as the production models you have come to know. See below for Extra Notes - artistic licenses taken, test results, etc. -

This patch will replace the sergeants in Doom2 (should work with Doom1 but I haven't tested it) with a Stormtrooper from Star Wars. I decided to do this thing when I saw the original STROOPER stormtrooper replacement. I knew it could be done better so I just had to try. I commend the author of that one for drawing a completely new set of graphics (a pretty good set too), but it just didn't seem to melt into the game. The graphics were modeled after the ones in Dark Forces--tweaked a bit to fit in with Doom. They blend quite nicely, I think. Besides the graphics, some sounds were also replaced. The sounds were also from Dark Forces and seem to work okay too--but occasionally the former humans will yell Stormtrooper exclamations because they use the same sounds as the sergeants. -

This level replace Episode 1, Map 1. It is a stand-alone level and is not meant to blend in with the standard DOOM levels. It is modeled after the grocery store that we work in...hence the name hellmart. We tried to duplicate the store as closely as possible. We even included a cardboard baler and meat cooler. The wad plays well in a deathmatch. You never know what aisle your opponent is hiding in. -

This patch replaces 3 characters (ZOMBIEMAN, IMP, SHOTGUN GUY) with aliens and sounds from the movie. The aliens were created by revolving my roomates great model of an alien in front of a camera attached to a computer at the University of Central Florida. Results: The best (realistic) alien patch I've ever seen (to be modest). There are lots of sounds from the R-rated movie so if you offend easily be warned. (But if you like Doom, I doubt you are very sensative.) Anyway, you can just edit the aliens.bat file to remove the sound wad aliensnd.wad if it bugs you. -

This is a modern level with a 1994 theme. I admire the verisimilitude - it's just like a real 1994 map, with almost no detail, large empty spaces, wandery design, mucho zombiemen and barrels - but miraculously it's fun to play. Even the (thankfully short) dark sewage maze comes across as interesting. It should be sent back in time to 1994 as a model of how to do it. I hope he makes more levels.
