    Demon Plague for Doom 2

    Version

    40 downloads

The only cure for this plague is your trusty shotgun. Your mission is to clean out the demon infestion of a long deserted, slime-encrusted outpost. This level was inspired by the general 'look' of many Quake levels. Great single player, deathmatch and co-op action.

    Infested Outpost

    Version

    19 downloads

Single player level for vanilla doom 2 with some dehacked modifications in concrete base and cave/mountain style. Playing on Ultra Violence is recommended. Note: do NOT use mods that alter doom 2 things (Brutal Doom for example), they will conflict with dehacked modifications.

    Waterwheel

    Version

    29 downloads

UAC constructed a bolt-hole on the dark side of the moon which was terraformed for the purpose. It was known as the Waterwheel because of its shape. When you completed the cleanup at Deimos you were warped to the Waterwheel because the infestation had spread even there. You find yourself transported to the centre of the Waterwheel and need to find your way to the exit warp-point cleaning up as you go. Sadly, the hell spawn has already carved holes into the roof and the upper levels have been flooded. Fortunately, door blocks have prevented the flooding from spreading to the control rooms that make up the wheel(s) and the lower levels where the bugs from hell have constructed their dead-rooms.

    The Salt Mines

A big, squarish couple of maps sets in some sort dungeon place with some abstract looking caverns (one sets in a small canyon and the other in a cramped ice cavern) and having the most infested swamps i've seen so far in Hexen, near to a level of complete ridiculousness. Also includes some pretty weird choices Also, the exit can't be activated for some strange reason in zandronum. Not a fun or good level, neither the really rare good parts like the staircase and the lighting works can save this map from being just not that good imo.

    The Corruption of Substation Alpha

    Version

    33 downloads

After radio calls to Substation Alpha have garnered no response for four days, UAC send you in to find out what happened to the marines and staff. Little did they know that this research and development station would have become so infested so quickly. Grabbing your trusty pistol (though secretly despising it's wimpy discharge sound), you descend the lift...

    Dregmere Dam

    Version

    23 downloads

Long forgotten barrow-dam now infested with swamp creatures. Still seems to have a glimmer of life, as the torches are still lit and the doors and switches still operate. Who knows what lurks within the old dam complex... My first Hexen level: a large map with swamps, waterfalls, dam complexes, mountainous areas and a half sunken city. Some secret and non-essential areas also exist for exploration.

    Version

The valley outpost has been infested with evil. Gather the keys and watch your back. This one is pretty tough but there is plenty of ammo and health to see you through. You don't have to kill everything to get out, but it's alot more satisfying.

    dickie10.WAD, issue 1

    Version

    29 downloads

This wad is 413kb when unzipped. Oh, I nearly forgot....a final finale for the DICKIE series. You have made your way thru' nine monster infested adventures. Finally you arrive in the nether-world where it is neither night or day. Outside, the gates of hell are burning whilst inside, you battle your way through a magnificent palace (well, sort of) to the inner sanctum. Here you must seek out and destroy the power source which feeds the hell spawn. Only then will the planet be free.... Note, if ammo seems a little scarce, think again. A change of tactics may be required. It is possible to finish this level on UV without using cheat codes...if you're really stuck, see the bottom of this text file.

    UAC Ultra (v1.2)

    Version

    662 downloads

You're a Space marine... Disease. An incurable though tangible threat. The demons prowl among the scorched barrens of Mars. Fleets of cacodemons infest every region. Spectres and imps swarming from every crevice. Deep down under Mars' subterra lies UAC's immense labyrinth of superhuman technology. The underground top secret lair of their most horrific experiments, buried in distress. This is UAC Ultra. An 11 (and a half) map levelset for Doom 2 featuring all new textures, a new monster, new music and several other small touches. Difficulty will hopefully keep you on your feet without being ridiculous. The texture set is available as ultratex.wad v1.2 fixes bugs on all maps. Plus it works with Eternity. Thanks esselfortium and Doomworld!

    Revolution!

Revolution by TVR Revolution is a limit removing megawad for Doom 2 published on 2003 by Thomas van der Velden. I have beat this wad several times, as it is one of favorite fan content for these games. At the time of writing this review, I have just beat it on Ultra Violence, on continuous play and saving after every key using Doom Retro with the awesome Midi Pack This wad is famous for popularizing the Doom Cute aesthetic. The levels are more or less based on real locations, and the ingenious use of texture works great in its favor to recreate places such as moving trains, cinema theaters, factories, mansions and so forth. At the time of release, the megawad received mixed reviews, while many players praise the realistic locales and the creativity, some others found the difficulty too low. Despite of this, the wad has achieve a cult status and it is often recommended for new players or fans of realistic architecture in Doom. 20 years later, it is hard not to see the wad influence in map sets like Anomaly Report, Monster Hunter Limited, Nostalgia and some others. Difficulty wise, this may be between the original Doom campaign, and Doom 2. None of the levels get particular frantic, and there is plenty of health items around the map. TVR intention appears to be more on trying to tell a story and letting the player explore the levels without too much pressure. This may be a drawback for people looking for a harder experience, but it is perfect for a chill afternoon or for people starting to get into fan content. On 2022, the map set and its midipack were added to the unity release making it even more accesible. Revolution is divided into roughly three episodes. The first set of maps take place on planet earth and are roughly based on real locations while moving into tech base territory at the end of the episode. This is followed by a set of maps which have an hellesque aesthetic mixed up with brick bases kind of similar to the first Darkening Episode. Finally, the last episode combines surreal landscapes (such travelling the innards of a giant worm) with temple ruins. There is an increase of difficulty on each episode, but as it has been mentioned before it rarely gets very too deadly. I have beat this map set around three times and at the time of writing this review my death count was quite low. All three episodes are memorable, but I find the last set of maps less so than the rest. They are not bad, but they feel more generic than the early escapades. Overall, Revolution is an enjoyable romp made out of gorgeous vanilla maps and exploratory based gameplay. You may want to look into it if you are getting into fan content, or if you have a knack for a more relaxed kind of gameplay. Veterans, or people looking for more challenging content may feel up being disappointed. Favorite Maps: - Map 03 Infestation: A sandbox level set on some city ruins. Pretty good level with some powerful weapons hidden. It´s main gimmick is that after every key a new set of enemies is released into the contested streets. - Map 12 Utopia: The player is tasked to explore a demon infested city. Have a cool fight against a Cyberdemon inside a chapel and some nasty teleporter ambushes near the end. I love the city design. - Map 13 Dead End: A weird map in which the player is ambushed by a Cyberdemon and needs to traverse some lava infested caves to telefrag him. It is one of the most combat oriented maps of the megawad. - Map 23 Pyramid of Pain: An exploratory level set on a pyramid. Full of traps and little puzzles. Kind of feels like a Tomb Raider inspired map. - Map 26 Phragmobasidium: An Innmost Dens / Circle of Death inspired map set on a series of small islands surrounded by waste. Some nasty fights on this one as the player traverse tight catwalks while being sniped from afar.

    Phobos Nexus

3.5/5 You can find a berserk pack early, and 80% of the infestation roams on foot and mocked your butt in a past life, so Tyson is the best way to play this! I'm a sucker for the off-kilter NEIS / DTWID: Lost Episodes vibe, a quirkiness the dingy custom textures help reinforce. Every area is unnecessarily huge, which also feels cool. Little stood out to me beyond all of that, and the design isn't always the "in a good way" sort of rough, but I had an alright time. Would replay if I felt like fisting imps and zombies again. Could have used a cyb. :NIH:

Clues discovered at Gates of Anguish and Despair base have led you to the corporate headquarters and genetics labs of UAC. The evil infestation has reached even here. You enter an otherwise unguarded building a take the elevator to the upper floor. Things seem quiet, soft music is playing and there is a familiar guard outside the elevator door. Hmm, they have changed the decor since the last time you were here. You look over at the Reception Desk, and spot the Imps! Things are going to get tough. But you're the best, heh? Nothing is going to stop you from your mission, not some pesky little Imp! Play it cool, ammo and healing are in short supply (this is corporate life). Monsters abound, and have many places to hide. They may come out to find you, so watch your back. Please E-Mail me with your comments on CIS. Your comments go a long toward improving my 'work'.

    Nostromo's Run for DOOM ][

    Version

    176 downloads

Nostromo's Run takes place in an isolated station aboard some alien planet. The base was used for fighter training and mutant entertainment and features a large arena. Humans were being brought to this pleasure ground for the mutants amusement. As a specially skilled warrior, your assignment is as follows: You will be teleported into the cellar of the main complex. You (and any you wish to have join you) are to clean out the complex of all mutants. Our intelligence sources state that the area is literally infested with all kinds of cretins so your mission will be a tough one. Ultimately, you should make your way to the arena; a large open area of which no human has escaped. Our sources also say that getting to the arena is no easy task. The base includes a large maze that can be quite confusing with shifting floors. But, I know that with your special training, you can hack it. Nostromo's Run took me a year to complete and it's my first wad. I put so much time and energy into it that, at the time, I did not believe that I would be making a sequel. But because of the stupendous feedback I've received over the last few months, I've begun building a Nostromo's Run II and more sequeals are now in the planning stages. See details below on the Nostromo's Run Project. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you like it. Feedback greatly appreciated
