This wad is 181kb when unzipped. This map has a big, 'blocky' classic doom2 look. This map concludes episode 1 of my 'Dickie' series. If you've enjoyed it then why not mail me, I could do with some encouragement.... I think the next installments of the series may consist of mini-episodes, say of 3 or 4 levels each. I am aiming for small, but detailed maps, maybe with a eye on you deathmatchers. I would also like to hear from volunteer play-testers. One of my big problems is that I have nobody to 'play test' my levels. I'm off to Italy for my summer hols now. And its my birthday soon...

This wad is 413kb when unzipped. Oh, I nearly forgot....a final finale for the DICKIE series. You have made your way thru' nine monster infested adventures. Finally you arrive in the nether-world where it is neither night or day. Outside, the gates of hell are burning whilst inside, you battle your way through a magnificent palace (well, sort of) to the inner sanctum. Here you must seek out and destroy the power source which feeds the hell spawn. Only then will the planet be free.... Note, if ammo seems a little scarce, think again. A change of tactics may be required. It is possible to finish this level on UV without using cheat codes...if you're really stuck, see the bottom of this text file.

This wad is 259kb when unzipped. Usually, I don't like secrets in doom maps because they bore me. However, in the spirit of 'Tricks & Traps', which was the original map08, I thought I would include a few puzzles in this one. Note - you must solve the secrets to finish the map. I have put clues in but have no idea how easy / hard they are??? If, like me, you just can't be bothered, then see the bottom of this text file for how to get the keys. There are also a couple of cruel tricks in this map - so save often!

This wad is 312kb when unzipped, due to the extra graphics & music. I put a cyberdemon in this one - well why not? My favourite part of this wad is the red key area - see what you think.

I lost the plot slightly when working on this level and it has ended up as a bit of a mish-mash: two wads merged into one. However, I've spent too much time on it to throw it away. There are some nice exchanges to keep you amused. Also, when you get to the 'reactor' area, try to resist shooting the archviles. Just for fun, I've added a much more satisfying way of killing the little buggers as you will find out... This map is 277kb when unzipped.

This is my first wad released on the web. This is a fairly simple level and is intended as the first in a new multi-level episode. See below for details.

This wad is 264kb when unzipped Wow!! Am I proud of this one. When I play tested it on UV it took me ages to complete, but never found it frustrating. You get the rocket launcher quite early on in this level which speaks for itself. The opening sequence is pretty hectic - I have no idea how it will play to others since, of course, I knew where to run to get safe!! I am now learning that big is not necessarily best. This level is the biggest I've done so far (though this is mainly due to the detail). I am unlikely to do a level as big as this again.

This wad is 388kb when unzipped, due to the extra graphics & music. This is a very red wad and I like it!! There are plenty of lost souls in this level. This is an often poorly used monster. This is a shame since when used effectively, he can be a real pain...as you will find out! Anyone who has played my other levels will know I'm quite fond of the imp ambush - and there's a real corker in this one. It's not that difficult but great fun just blasting the little buggers away.

Single level replacement for map E1M1 in HERETIC. Approximation of parking garage and courtyard of the GRCI building in Vienna Virginia, USA. Plays best as Deathmatch WAD, especially with 4 players. Small, but with spots to hide, for a little while. Consistent use of texture and lighting. Monster placement a bit arbitrary, just mop them up and start looking for the Most Dangerous Game.

    SINTER v1.0

one of the best of the 90s, by far. super good stuff. demands knowledgeable application of several obtuse skill sets. also totally makes you forget you're playing doom 1, which a lot of modern doom 1 wads don't even achieve. [edit] i keep coming back to this - this is my favorite doom 1 wad behind tambourine tangerine.

JP LeBreton does a weekly stream called WAD Wednesday where he plays random files from the idgames archive. The one-year anniversary of the stream happened recently and we decided to do a community map jam to celebrate. The maps are as follows: MAP01/SABMHC01: "The Great Escape" by Arjuna Gonzales A recreation of my house circa 2001, the year I first thought of game development as a thing that I could do. Content warning: Alcoholism and the shitty things people do when they don't drink responsibly MAP02/AIRCOND: "Air-Conditioned Nightmare" by Fisher A short detour into the psyche of Doomguy MAP03/SEMICAKE: "Semiautobiographical Cakeitechture" by Eliot Lash A virtual birthday card

My very first WAD and mod project. It took me a very long time and was often slow and painful but I did my very best to make this possible. The WAD contains a huge, non-linear map that focuses on atmosphere and exploration. It was made for Doom 1 because I wanted to make a vanilla map using only stock resources (with the exception of music) and Doom 2 lacks a lot of Doom 1 textures. Part 2 and Part 3 coming soon! Part 2 is about 50% complete. To run, drag the WAD and DEH files into your favorite executable (but you probably already knew that)

A small, dark, gothic style doom1 map - 262kb when unzipped. I suggest you turn the lights down for this one. I have tried to create a genuinely eerie atmosphere - lots of long shadows, silhouettes etc. Just in case you don't have Ultimate Doom, I have included the yellow sky which looks sooooooo good!! Ammo is strictly limited. This is not an insane 'all rocket launchers blazing' affair, instead aim carefully and shoot wisely. If you don't like that sort of map then that's too bad! ..No, you don't need any source port for this wad. Doom is a great game and best left untouched... I would really like to see some .lmp's of people playing my wads. 100% kills on UV? - well I'd like to see it! Please feel free to mail me your demo recordings (v1.9 compatible please).

A 32-map single player/cooperative wad. Contains basic support for deathmatch, as well as difficulty levels. It entails two episodes, with episode 1 being map 1-15, and episode 2 being map16-30. There is a secret level on map 15 as well as a credits map after map 30.

There are small 11 maps. Episode 1 (Map 1-6) is "Uranus", and episode 2 (Map 7-11) is "Ares". I made this wad not recently but about 4 years ago, and I have already abandoned the project. Title pic is remaining "Ares"...

Everyone has a doom game they remember with wistful nostalgia as their first wad. For most, it's Doom II, Doom 1, or for some, Final Doom. JPCP is mine, and five years after first finding it I've published my own wad and am working on two more. Thank you.

We designed this level as part of a competition in the danish newspaper Politiken. (The original HBG-WAD took the 1. prize :-) The senario is Copenhagen central station, with InterCity and ABB IC3 trains and ticket conductors.

    Scythe X. Episodes 1-2

Honestly, this is my favourite Scythe. The atmospheric, upbeat MIDIs coupled with good, detailed environments, gorgeous lighting, and snappy combat with a nice difficulty curve, gradually getting more difficult as the WAD progresses. Maybe Erik will come back come specifically April 10 (Scythe's 20th anniversary) to finish this WAD, who knows? Anyways... I can't think of anything negative to say about this unlike Scythe 1 & 2, great WAD. I've always loved it. Also, MAP10's moment, you know the one... Is just... wow.
