    Mordeth - FEB'97 version

Pretty good for it's time, despite being unfinished. Still worth playing for the gameplay which is good. Make sure you load both wads and the deh.

    Zone 300

Funtastic classic megawad. This is nuts and bolts doom at it's very best.

    oh

    A fun couple of minutes.

    Beyond Horrible!

Pretty fun to play, but there's some niggles that hold it back a little that should have been found before release. Still worth a play through though!
Really fun set of levels that are both well designed and well balanced in difficulty. In fact, this is one of my favourite community projects I've played in a while. I also echo the sentiments about 2048 being a great size for doom, I could see this size being used again and hope it does. Good job guys.

    The Last Sanctuary

A really superb grand scale map with great indoor and outdoor exploration that creates a nice sense of adventure. Great architecture, monster and ammo placement, and overall good gameplay. Recommended! For those having trouble playing? It flawlessly with the latest Zdoom development builds.

    900 Deep in the Dead

As expected the design is pretty basic but it's cheap thrills and fundamentals. Worth a play.

    1024x1024 & 2 sectors contest wad

Pretty good considering the limits, worth playing.

    007: Licence to Spell DooM

Far too much scripting, and too many puzzles of which many require several re-attempts over and over until you get the right sequence. The rest of the gameplay is pretty average and sometimes a slog. Grey architecture doesn't help either. A nice enough idea though, but just average in execution.
I really liked it. Wish I had played it sooner.

    Brood of Hatred

    Blooming marvellous.

    10 Sectors

Still great all these years later. The levels are quite simple, yet quite complicated considering their limitations and are all very playable. There aren't any bad levels so if you haven't yet played this, then I recommend it.
Actually pretty good and enjoyable. As long as you don't mind the 1024 setting then you should check these out. It's also nice to see more Plutonia styled maps.

    KZDoom Series Opener.

A great early Zdoom level with a bit of a quake feel to it. A bit of a silly surprise near the end, but still worth playing.

    Containment Area v1.1

What an absolute classic. There are so many crates and quite repetitive design and yet, it isn't in the least bit boring. Thanks to finely crafted gameplay, monsters, ammo, and secrets placement. Why did I wait this long before playing this? 5 stars.

    Evil Unleashed II

Nice map indeed. Lots of details, steepness variation, nice monster and ammo placement, and most importantly, a fun play. As usual from DD this is top notch and worth your time!

    KOKOC

A fun, balanced, and nicely designed couple of levels.

    NewDoom Community Project II

Gets a four, but only by the skin of it's teeth. There are some good levels, some of which are truly great; the best being from level 21 onwards. The problem is that the inconsistency is really quite jarring at times. Even the "fixed" (ndcp2v2) version of this has numerous bugs and unintended traps. The design is borderline over-detailed sometimes and many maps pre map21 are convoluted. So, it's worth a play for the later maps only.

Doom source code, under the GNU GPL

It's DOOM. What else is there to say about a legendary game that keeps players coming back to this site for years on end.

    Acid Assault

A quick fun level through the acidic/slimy mountains. It was nice.

    Erkattäññe: 11 maps, 2 flavors.

Very basic and plain design with a lot of texture misalignment, and yet I enjoyed it... Why? Probably because the design gives a strange odd vibe to the levels which is almost quirky, and then there is the silly and cheesy music on top of that. Strangely compelling, but ultimately only just above average to play. Could be considered a "guilty pleasure".

Really nice level set. Looks great and is fun to play. Recommended.

Quick bit of fun. Nothing special.

    We Die Young

Nice maps, especially map02. This shows you how those textures can really give a map a lot of pizazz.
