Welcome to uca.zip. This mission replaces e2m1. This is also the first WAD I've constructed, using DEU5.1 and BSP1.0. I hope you enjoy it. If so, or if not, please give me feedback so I know how to make my next one even better. This is a slightly revised version of UCA. Players probably won't notice any real changes in gameplay. Anyways, UCA now supports coop player mode but NOT deathmatch. I probably wouldn't have bothered to upload this revised version, except that the original uploaded version somehow "disappeared." So, I am re-uploading, and why not make a few small changes? :) UCA is challenging, but definitely possible to complete. Believe me, I've play-tested it often enough. :-) -

Oldschool early 2000's style of maps that Is meant to be played with ZDoom at screen resolution 320x200 to give it that old computer pixel look. But can use whatever engine you want, Maybe even use some mods with It, your choice. Alternate high quality song included as a separate file (PhobDoomMus.wad) replacing E1M8's track but a MIDI version exists for everyone else. -

You have defeated the mighty mean blood sucking zombies, and you are alone in Deimos moon, without any possibility of getting out. For hours you walk through whats left... suddenly you find a little shuttle, and you can get out of this inferno! Couple of hours later of your journey back to Hearth, the computer board, gives you a warning that the reactor is low on Energy, and it must be recharged before you reach Hearth. By the report the only choice is the Moon at DOCKING BASE 1. When you reach the Moon, the computer, informs you that he can't communicate with DOCKING BASE 1, and that he detects strange movements. You smell trouble, but unfortunately the only weapon that was left from your fight was a ChainShaw, you don't have any other choice... you tell the computer to use the tractor beam, to put you and your ChainShaw on Bay 1A, and to wait for you in this same place for about an hour... -

A 3 episode vanilla megawad for Doom 1 containing a total of 27 maps. Set on one of Jupiter's moons called Ganymede, this wad should provide a challenge for a wide variety of skill levels ranging from the humble newbie to veteran speedrunner. Each episode has it's own progression rather than the usual base -> hellbase -> hell. -

You are blasting hordes of demons on the martian satellite, Deimos. You flip a switch and are teleported to a different place. You can just barely breath the air. It is heavier, and very hot. The walls seem to shift due to the incredible heat. Because of these facts you believe you have been sent deeper into the moon. The rooms and such also seem to be of much more demonic construction than human. You don't know what to expect, and can see that the path only seems to lead deeper, and get darker. You quench your thirst in the fountain you have landed on and... Ok, i know i sorta missed the buzz around doom, so thats why my wads -
Nicely challenging wad with a consistent Moon base and spaceflight theme. Gameplay is straightforward Plutonia combat, with a lot of dangerous ambushes requiring good reflexes and escape plans. Stylistically, even though it made little difference while inside the techbases that you're on the Moon or anywhere else, the outside areas reminded you constantly where you are. The Earth may have been drawn too close in the sky, but the story explains why. The music however felt too arcade-like, and the Moon crater surface textures could have been better.

UAC constructed a bolt-hole on the dark side of the moon which was terraformed for the purpose. It was known as the Waterwheel because of its shape. When you completed the cleanup at Deimos you were warped to the Waterwheel because the infestation had spread even there. You find yourself transported to the centre of the Waterwheel and need to find your way to the exit warp-point cleaning up as you go. Sadly, the hell spawn has already carved holes into the roof and the upper levels have been flooded. Fortunately, door blocks have prevented the flooding from spreading to the control rooms that make up the wheel(s) and the lower levels where the bugs from hell have constructed their dead-rooms. -

An abandoned space colony on Phoebe, one of the Jupiter's moons. This map is taken from the sixth Russian Doom Community "tuning contest", where participants had to improve a computer generated map while keeping the original layout intact. I've modified it a little since then, so it should work under PrBoom+ instead of ZDoom. -

mole doom episode 1: this is a 9 level mapset for doom 1. it replaces episode 1. there isn't really any plot aside from the standard doom plot. it's got 8 maps and one secret level. if you want a plot i'll make one up: you play john ninmole. a scientist at the research center on phobos. you were called in one morning on your goddamn day off. something has gone wrong with the teleporter again and it's your job to fix it. this happened just recently, but when it did the whole other moon disappeared. when you arrived to your station everyone was dead. you quickly grabbed a pistol off a dead security guard and prepared yourself for the most stressful workday of your life. and the worst part is you're not even supposed to be here today!------------------ 3 of these levels have partimes: e1m3: 1:31 e1m5: 3:18 e1m9: 0:27 these par times were set by my friend stoogy. unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to play the rest of the levels before release. -
Starts in a unexciting way, but then becomes good. The levels are supposed sets at Mars moon, Phobos; staring the one and only Jena Plissken from John Carpenter movie "Escape from New York" and "Escape from L. A:", no sounds from that movie are been used but former soldier forces alert growls are changed with thunders, for some bizarre reason. MAP01 starts in a computer lab of sorts, then evolves into a twisted hellish place with a pentagram structure similar to Phobos Anomaly, is a pretty nice starting point, lots of nice vanilla trickery as well; MAP02 is a rip-off modified version of Nuclear Plant, but looking more creepy and destroyed, then evolves in a sort of labyrinthine structure with some weird sense of progression, a thing that it will be shared in the other levels of this series. Also, how it be possible to unlock the yellow skull pillar? MAP03 starts in a boring way and have, again, the bad sense of progression of the previous map it's here again, just be careful for looking at every switch in all rooms. Hit switch everywhere, reach the pretty good looking shuttle and exit. It's a conceptually interesting mapset, but a little boring to play.

Quite specific wad of the russian doom community, consisting of 13 levels (no secrets onces). Attention to details and atmosphere is often "compensated" (in a bad sense of the word) by bad gameplay and a lot of dead-end branches. Maps are different and generally do not have a common style - the wad, which begins as pure surrealism, which was interesting choice, turns into a kind of collection of typical locations. After level 13 picture ends without any specific epilogue. Settings and other: * GzDoom. * Complex Doom. Wad has his own weapons, inspired by Duke Nukem, but I didn't like them. * Difficulty - "Ultra-Violence". * I did not collect 100% of secrets. * On M2 "Doxylamine Moon" you can find 3 keys, more precisely the yellow skull, red and blue keys. The latter must be used in the location with the clock, then in this place you can go to the exit. To get to the clock you can guide which is marked by the brown arrows on the road. The map indicates that there are 53 enemies available, but I've met only 9... Update: I see that it's marked as a bug in the description. Pros: + Atmosphere and sometimes soundtrack. + M6: Pandora's Box. + M7: Arena resembling a colosseum. + M11: Seaport. Contras: - New weapons sprites. - M2 "Doxylamine Moon" looks more like an arthouse object than a playable map. - Beside it's pros wad looks more like a "hodgepodge community pack" of random maps, designed completely by different people, rather than some complete/finished work. Wad was featured in "Top 25 Missed Cacowards"... But in my opinion there is no point for potencial Cacoward material here in such condition - you can find less/more good maps in long list of "fogotten for good" wads, but this isn't enough to take them back from the dust.

Luna AI is a prequel to the events in Doom 2. The demons have corrupted the AI that controls the orbital defense weapons surrounding earth. You and your marine buddies head to the moon to shut the AI down, upon landing everything goes to hell. Its down to you to shut the AI down and pave the way for the liberation of Earth. Luna AI is a single vanilla compatible map with a few extra features, including a different use for the commander keens (blow them up), 2 new monsters and a finish that ends in a bang. A dehacked patch is included externally and as a lump. Make sure this is running before playing!
