"Into the Abyss" is my first attempt with lighting and is also an intro for a new episode I will work on. I put far more detail and work into it than I did with "Dead Zone," and retained some simplicity. I tired to create the classic doom experience, once again. Have fun. I will add multilayer start locations/guns, difficulty settings, and more secrets on a later date. -
I'd heard of this, but wasn't sure if I'd played it. Being a big fan of the much earlier Classic Episode, I knew I had to try. Jan Van der Veken gives us a really well made E1 replacement that recalls KDITD in a familiar and fresh way, one of those iterations on the original theme that is a bit bigger, more complex, and more challenging, but still just reeks of classic Doom. A touch of E2 and E3 can be observed in the later maps, adding to the variety. Really fun to blast through this, it gets a little more tough near the end but for the most part is fun, easygoing classic Doom. I didn't like E1M8 so much, but the rest was great. Great architecture and flow. Best: E1M3, E1M5, E1M6, E1M7

Tremendously fun little map by Memfis. One of my favorite sub-5 minute maps! There are very little monsters present in this level, but this still makes for a fun challenge. The secret was a bit hard to find, but I finally got lucky by looking at my automap. I'm not sure what Memfis meant by "inspired by NUTS". I don't really see the resemblance in either visuals, or gameplay. Good quick intro type map, give it a try! 5/5

Interesting map with a even more interesting title that put could put me in a FBI watchlist or something, if not they could think i'm a big fan of motorhead. The map itself is not that canonically beauty, but have a pretty good layout and a fun gameplay based upon exploration, monster closets opens and bridges at player passage in a way similar to my previously reviewed map "Jobe", the level also looks good even with it's spartan design. The ending room crafting is pretty impressive, best part of the map imo. A fun hidden map that takes you a 15 minutes of play.

Two levels intended for DeathMatch, Single or Coop. Loads of fun to play. Pentium power recommended for single/co-op play. Be careful when you play-there are earthquakes! There are plenty of pitfalls and perils-BUT there is a wrath of god. Somewhere in level 1 there is a place that allows you to kill all the monsters in that level EXCEPT Menelkir. Glass will shatter, floors will drop, ceilings will crush you, spikes will destroy you, you will scream, and then you'll DIE. However, if you get into trouble just go into the dimensional portal within level 1 (Especially fun when playing deathmatch-It will teleport you to random areas within level 1). -
Really enjoyed this WAD. Simple and straight forward with small maps and low enemy counts, but a great place to start for a new doomer. I had so much fun playing and particularly enjoyed E1M5, E1M6 and E1M7, these were really fun, nice tempo and I continue dropping back to play these again and again. It was really enjoyable to push the pace on these and see how fast I could finish. Basically, enjoyed the calm encounters and nice simple aesthetics. If it is useful I have uploaded my playthrough to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSh0vj-6E2chQqx744Ajl2w

Well I had to play it, right? :D Honestly considering it's a Doom 1 map made in 1996 it was fun to play through, combat was reasonably engaging, texturing whilst a bit haphazard is reasonably detailed. The map is interesting to explore, but can be a little confusing at times, in part due to its unorthodox usage of switches.

It's a good city map, had some nice simple detailing and deciption of real life places like a heliport, a pub, a pair of simple shops building and a little park. Dark alleys surrounds the city. The layout is open, sandbox-y and fun, search for the keys and fight against hordes of shotgunners, there's more shotgunners here than in all of Doom lol However, cool map.

Interesting small pack with no votes expect a 0 star anonymous vote on classic \idgames, instead is a cool map pack with some old mistakes like some player spawns are slightly far from guns and MAP03 isn't a really good map imo, but otherwise it's a valid set with solid layout and gameplay. Fun stuff.

Brutally fun, the maps architecture are fantastic, really reminiscent of vanilla HeXen, good music although I'd had used a couple from Vanilla, especially for the swamp, my only real complain is that the puzzles are a bit too long and a bit unclear, but hey, that's natural in HeXen. Overall, 5/5, long, but absolutely worth it.

I've played the Doom version of this wacky mod.... many, MANY years ago and all i can i say is: this thing is really nuts, big fun and lots of weird, wacky stuff going on here. The sprinting work, while raw with it's paint drawn characters, is actually pretty well done, deaths are hilariously gorier with everyone turning into a blood sea after their death, some people i didn't remember them in the Doom version, like Ned Flanders. Isn't he the baron of hell replacement or i remember wrong? Anyway, the new character replacements are cool and we'll made. I don't see what changes the dehacked file. Overall, very fun mod.
